Blog Introduction 9/3

Sweet community,

Due to the overwhelming (and wonderful-we are so humbled) amount of e-mails I received yesterday/today requesting to be added to the email list and to our families continued realization that this is a marathon, not a sprint...we have started a blog earlier than we thought. This will be our form of communication until further notice. The address is: http://getwellsoonkait.blogspot.com/

It will be updated as often as possible. When you have someone requesting updates-please refer them to this to get their information, they no longer need to be added to the email list.

My e-mail will continue to be available if you need something specifically or have specific questions, but I would ask that if you are just asking for the most updated information-you check the blog. That is where I will communicate information just as soon as I get it.

Thank you so very much for your love & support...we are increasingly grateful for each and every single one of you. Thank you again for your patience as we are starting a new journey together & in very unfamiliar territory!

This morning John is with Kaitlin and communicated that she had a tough night. Medically she is still stable and the doctors are pleased with the results of the surgery, but she is very sore and tired. Prayers are appreciated! She will not be taking visitors today that are outside of the family.

If you are wanting to send flowers, I would suggest waiting until she is moved out of the ccu since she cannot have flowers in her room. If you absolutely need to do something (which I understand) flowers can be sent to my parents house and we will make sure she gets them. You can e-mail me for the address. Cards can also be sent to their house, again e-mail for the address. I can get them to the right place. Food needs are still TBD...I'll keep you updated! John is man enough to ask for help when he needs it, so if he needs you or something from you-he will ask. :)

Love,

Carolyn Thompson (John's sister)
